Yay, I’m into the third and final trimester of my pregnancy! It certainly feels like I’ve been pregnant forever but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now! I’m 28w + 3d so I only have 11 1/2 weeks to go!!!
I am truly looking forward to the first real twinges of labour and I am hoping I can labour at home for as long as possible, like I did with my daughter! For me, this is so much more comfortable and enables me to let my body and brain work in unison to get through the pain of labour!
I am starting to get uncomfortable now and I think I have started to waddle sometimes too! I’ve also started bumping into things with my belly which is mostly funny but sometimes hurts!
The baby lets me know when it’s awake with lots of movements and some powerful little kicks! My daughter thinks it’s amazing that she can feel the baby moving around and it has been a great bonding experience for her. The Glucose Challenge Test at 27 weeks was simply awful! The drink made me feel so so so sick, I really struggled to sit for an hour without vomiting! I had the bin in my sights the entire time and I couldn’t wait to get out of the hospital and into the fresh air!

I’ll check in again soon!

Cheers Kate

I’m so happy to be over the half way mark…at last. The first 20 weeks seem to have gone very very slow but I am hoping things will zoom along now! I’m still feeling sick every day and vomiting every morning but I am functioning better than I was a few weeks ago. It’s the heart burn that is getting to me more than anything at the moment and the taste of Mylanta is only getting worse…Yuk! I’ve been drinking milk by the bucket load which helps for a few minutes and eating Rennies like they are going out of fashion but I just wish I felt normal!!!

More excitingly I had my 20 week ultrasound and saw the little heart beating and saw all the fingers and toes! Very active baby, moving around lots, which made it difficult for the sonographer to get all the shots needed but after walking around, going to the loo, standing while being prodded we finally got the profile of the nose with me on my belly!! Mmmmm…does that mean we may have a naughty one coming our way…..I hope not!!

We didn’t find out what we are having although this week I am thinking a boy…..but we will see!

Names, names,names…..do you think my husband and I can agree on any names?!! The 2nd time around is proving much more difficult to come up with a name than it was for our first born. Hopefully we will have a little list ready by the time bubs arrives.

Thats all for now!

Cheers, Kate

Hi All,

16 weeks and counting! Heading towards the half way mark! Unfortunately I’m still feeling very sick (all day), so I’m guessing like my first pregnancy I am going to be nauseaus for the whole 40 weeks! YAY! As I tell most people I would prefer to be in labour and giving birth than be pregnant! I just keep reminding myself of the precious gift that comes at the end of the 40 weeks. A boy or a girl…..I wander!?!

I am feeling some little butterfly type of movements now which is exciting and I am looking forward to feeling the punches and kicks in the next few weeks!

Stay Well and Warm xo Kate xo
